Overview

Submission of invoice by you as the veterinarian

As the attending veterinarian, simply send us the invoice(s) including the declaration of assignment by email. Once we have successfully verified the invoice(s), we will reimburse you directly. If the invoice amount is not covered or not covered in full – for example, due to an excess or because only a partial reimbursement is possible – then you must contact the customer directly so that they can pay you the outstanding amount directly.

Invoice submission by the vet

Please send us an email at direktabrechnung@lassie.de. To ensure a quick and easy reimbursement, please follow the guidelines below.
  • Insurance details
    Please state the policyholder's first and last name and the policy number.
  • Important documents
    Please include the invoice(s) to be reimbursed. Please also add any other documents that will help us to check the case - e.g. the animal's patient file, findings or prescriptions. All attachments should ideally be in PDF format.
  • Signed declaration of assignment
    Please also send us the assignment declaration signed by the policyholder. The form can be downloaded here.

What must be on the invoice?

In order to be able to check and refund your invoice quickly and easily, please note the following requirements. This will enable us to help you quickly.
  • Name & address of the policyholder
  • Name, breed, chip number & age of the insured animal
  • Insurance number
  • Invoice Nr. & Date
  • Treatment/diagnosis & treatment date
  • Medication/services incl. GOT rate
  • Bank details for the payout

Active Insurance

How to ensure an active Lassie insurance?

There are various ways for you to check in advance whether the animal to be treated has active insurance. Ask the pet owner to show you the Lassie app. Under the ‘Insurance’ tab, you will see the digital insurance card with the status ‘Active’ and the insurance number (beginning with WUFF or MIAU). Alternatively, you are welcome to contact us via our chat service – we will respond personally Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
