An exercise to practice recall
Recall can be difficult to master, but with this exercise you can practice the call signal in a fun way without getting into situations where your dog may choose not to listen.
Practice without any distractions
Start the training without any distractions to help your dog learn, or reinforce, their recall signal. You will achieve success more quickly if all your calls result in your dog coming to you and getting their reward. Also, don't go too fast - practice often and indoors, then take this into the yard, on a walk and finally out on your loose walks.
The exercise is fun and suitable for puppies as well as adult dogs. Make it a fun time for your dog and don't practice for too long. It only takes a few minutes of practice a day to make a big difference on your walks!
