Dog friendly gingerbread biscuits
As the holiday season approaches, many of us find joy in baking and decorating delicious treats. But why should our four-legged companions miss out on all the fun? In this article, we'll share a delightful recipe for homemade gingerbread biscuits specially crafted for your furry friends. So, get ready to treat your canine companion to some homemade love with these easy-to-make, tail-wagging gingerbread biscuits!
Ingredients
300g wheat flour (approx. 5dl)
60g smooth peanut butter. Important: It is important that you make sure that the peanut butter you use doesn't contain Xylitol as this is toxic to dogs. Check the ingredients before you start - the more peanuts the better!
1 apple
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
120 ml water (1.2 dl)
Gingerbread cutters
Instructions
Set the oven to 160°C fan and prepare a tray with baking paper.
Peel and grate the apple and put it in a large bowl.
Add the other ingredients to the bowl with the apple and mix thoroughly. For a smoother batter, we recommend sifting the flour.
When the mixed ingredients have become a dough, it is time to roll it out. Flour the baking table and roll out the dough until it is about 0.6 cm thick.
Punch out the dough with the gingerbread cutters and place the biscuits on the baking sheet with baking paper.
Bake the biscuits in the middle of the oven for about 20 minutes or until they get a golden brown surface.
Let the biscuits cool before letting your four-legged friend taste!
